Setup Guide
Follow these steps to set up your MiniHongKong display.
Unbox Your Device
Remove the MiniHongKong display, USB cable, power adapter, and quick start guide from the box.
Connect USB Power
Connect the USB cable to the device and plug the power adapter into a wall outlet. The screen will light up within a few seconds.
Start the Device
The device will display a Wi-Fi setup screen automatically on first boot.
Select Wi-Fi Network
Choose your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network from the list displayed on screen. The device does not support 5 GHz networks.
Enter Wi-Fi Password
Use the on-screen keyboard to enter your Wi-Fi password. Press Done when complete.
Wait for Connection
The device will connect to your network and begin fetching live data. This may take 10-30 seconds.
View Live Information
Once connected, the device displays live bus arrival times and airport information. The ONLINE indicator confirms active connection.
Troubleshooting
Device does not power on
Check that the USB cable is fully connected at both ends and the power adapter is plugged in.
Wi-Fi network not found
Ensure your router broadcasts on 2.4 GHz. Move the device closer to your router.
Connection drops frequently
Check your internet connection. Weak Wi-Fi signal may cause intermittent disconnections.
Data not updating
The device refreshes automatically. If data appears stale, check your internet connection or restart the device.
Factory Reset
To reset the device to factory settings, hold the reset button on the back for 10 seconds until the screen flashes. The device will restart and display the Wi-Fi setup screen.
